GSA OPTIMUM
NJ Transit Mason Substation
Delivered 20MVA Single Phase Traction Transformers, 4MVA Autotransformers, a mobile substation, and a IEC61850 based protection and control system, one of the first of its kind in the United States for a traction power substation, in the first major upgrade of any NJ Transit Substation in the last 30 years. The protection and control system will integrate with the Grove and Newark Autotransformer stations providing a more reliable, less costly, and faster to deploy solution versus traditional copper-based protection and control systems.
Astoria Battery Energy Storage System
Delivered 120MVA main power transformer for a 100-megawatt energy storage system in Astoria, Queens, New York City. The project is located on a site previously occupied by the Charles Poletti power plant. The project is designed to store energy from the grid during off-peak hours and discharge it during peak demand, enhancing grid stability and supporting New York's transition to renewable energy.
Princeton University West Windsor Substation
Delivered 96MVA power transformers and 72kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers for the West Windsor Substation project which enabled the University to connect at sub-transmission voltage of 69kV, increasing reliability on the campus network.
